WORLDPRIEST TV

There is an urgent need for educational programmes that go back to basics. In this developing film series on the sacraments, we interview and film a number of priests who explain each sacrament in a clear and simple manner, thus jointly promoting and supporting the priesthood and the faith of the Catholic Church.

The Sacrament of Baptism – A celebration of new life

This film presents a simple but illuminating guide to the Sacrament of Baptism. It was filmed in Ireland with Father Richard Gibbons, Parish Priest of Knock Shrine in County Mayo. The film takes us on a journey through this beautiful sacrament, explaining its meaning, purpose and significance, while exploring its richness, beauty and grace.

This Worldpriest production was sponsored by Joe Kennedy of the Kennedy Foundation, a private philantrophic foundation.

The Sacrament of Holy Orders

This film presents a ‘back to basics’ guide to the Sacrament of Holy Orders. It was filmed in Ireland at Maynooth College Chapel in County Kildare with Father Michael Shields, who is a native-born Alaskan priest ordained thirty-two years ago for the Archdiocese of Anchorage, Alaska and who now ministers in the Diocese of Saint Joseph, Far East Siberia in Russia. In this production Father Michel shares in a very personal way the meaning of the Sacrament of Holy Orders in today’s world. This Worldpriest production was sponsored by Aid to the Church in Need, an International Catholic Charity and Pontifical Foundation.
