The Worldpriest Global Rosary Relay for the Sanctification of Priests started as a modest event thirteen years ago. It now encompasses the entire world in a twenty-four period and touches the lives of countless millions of many cultures on every continent as they share in praying the Rosary in many languages. This year it will take place on the feast of the Sacred Heart on Friday, 24 June. Annual Global Rosary Relay – World Priest
Two very special preludes will take place on the preceding day, 23 June, from The Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe the National Shrine of Mexico, where prayers will be led by Monsignor Salvador Martínez Ávila, the shrine rector. Rosary Prayers will then move to Karachi Pakistan, where Father Edward Joseph Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Karachi will inaugurate the Worldpriest Global Rosary Relay 2022 in Pakistan on the same day at St. John’s Catholic Church Karachi. What a beautiful way to pray for a successful outpouring of grace on the big day – the Worldpriest Global Rosary Relay Day on 24 June.
This year the prayer relay will commence at dawn at the shrine of Our Lady of Magadan in Russia, as we pray for peace in our world. At 13.45 local time at the shrine of Our Lady of Zarvanyzia the world will be invited at this time to join in much-needed prayer with the people of war-torn Ukraine, praying the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary.
Knock SHRINE Ireland’s International Eucharistic & Marian Shrine
Some new prayer locations are participating for the first time this year. From France there will be St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 50 Avenue Hoc, Paris and the basilica of Notre-Dame du Laus diocese of Gap and Embrun. There will also be new participants from Norway, Denmark and Greece and in Cameroon prayer will be at the Church of St Joseph Parish, Akwaya, Mamfe Diocese to mention but a few, but many more will join nearer the Global Rosary Relay day on 24 June.
In its encirclement of the globe the relay will end in California at the Thomas Aquinas College in Santa Paula, uniting with Thomas Aquinas College in Northfield MA, USA, as the sun begins to set on a very special day of intense prayer. The prayers of the day will all be offered up to Our Lady and her Son Jesus, in thanksgiving for the work of all priests and for their sanctification.

Glorious Mysteries
Every state in the United States has a participating prayer location, while some have more than one. This year we will be particularly showing our solidarity in prayer with the grief-stricken people of Texas. The Catholic TV Network in Boston MA is https://www.catholictv.org/, a new participating prayer location this year, as they will broadcast the Rosary live from their television studio chapel in Boston.
Every parish in every province in Canada has a participating prayer location, including the far west indigenous regions, and moving across that vast country to Nova Scotia on the east coast.
Largely due to vastly expanding advances in technology, you can also join via online streaming and Facebook live or on YouTube live broadcasts from all listed participating prayer locations worldwide. Please check details of any prayer location of your choice. Search the name of the location, the Mysteries being prayed, and the time of participation. All you will need to do is click on: https://www.worldpriest.com/participating-prayer-location-list/ pray locally nationally and globally.
All global and national television broadcasts will be scheduled. Please double check same via television and online schedules by EWTN and others, who are Worldpriest’s loyal partners to whom we are greatly indebted for their extensive and outstanding global support. Our online Virtual Rosary Thursday grows in participant numbers, offering prayers from around the world, praying for the sanctification of priests
This year we have partnered for the first time with the wonderful on–line prayer organisation Hozana, a Christian social network of prayer, based in France, Hozana – Social network of prayer to expand awareness of the Global Rosary Relay by sharing our work via an online retreat.
Every Thursday we pray a decade of the Rosary, following the Luminous Mysteries for the sanctification of priests, leading up to the Annual Global Rosary Relay on 24 June.
Sharing the Worlpriest Global Rosary Relay 2022 promotional video
Following the recent launch of the Worldpriest Global Rosary Relay promotional video, this wonderful resource should now be widely shared and used as a powerful promotional tool on your websites and all social media outreaches to encourage as many as possible around the world to pray the Rosary on 24 June, https://youtu.be/miIaxi-RpAM
The idea behind this year’s video was simple, but highly effective. We chose a representative from each of the world’s continents who introduced themselves and the area they represented, while pin-pointing their geographical location around the globe. The result speaks powerfully for itself and underlines its relevance worldwide. Promotional Material – World Priest
As we stated at the beginning of this newsletter, every individual worldwide now has a unique opportunity to take up this call to pray, pray, pray.
