Reconciliation
In
the sacrament of Penance, we celebrate the love and forgiveness of God
for us. Having realised that we have done wrong in the past, here we
tell God and our brothers and sisters that we are sorry and we ask for
Gods mercy and strength. It reminds us that Jesus himself died for the
forgiveness of sins and we are forgiven when we confess our sorrow for
our wrongdoing, when we resolve ourselves to do better and through
absolution from the priest who acts as the minister of Gods forgiveness.
