Ordination

The sacrament of Ordination however reminds us that all those who are baptised and confirmed share the Priesthood of Jesus Christ. Those who are ordained priests in this sacrament are priests in a special way. They are called to serve and to lead the faith community in a special way, enabling all to share more effectively in Christ's priesthood. Through the grace of the sacrament, the priest gathers Gods holy people together and leads them, through Christ, and in the Spirit to God the Father.
