The Seven Sacraments

Marriage

For those who are drawn into the sacrament of Marriage, this is a sacramental celebration of love between man and woman and it symbolises Gods great love for all of us. Hence, the couple make a solemn contract with one another and it is one which is made holy in the sacrament. The sacrament of Ordination however reminds us that all those who are baptised and confirmed share the Priesthood of Jesus Christ. Those who are ordained priests in this sacrament are priests in a special way. They are called to serve and to lead the faith community in a special way, enabling all to share more effectively in Christ's priesthood. Through the grace of the sacrament, the priest gathers Gods holy people together and leads them, through Christ, and in the Spirit to God the Father.

This beautiful sacrament brings those who have heard the call of God into his service. This one sacrament makes all the others possible by giving us priests who can do Gods work and minister to his people.
